They say that in 15,000 years
the Sahara will be green again.

I stopped folding my clothes
because I’m afraid I’ll get them
wrinkled eventually.
There’s a certain shame in
each person that leads them
to believe that who they are
is all they will become,
and I can’t remember my life
as it was four years ago,
but my clothes still sit
in a pile on the floor and I wonder if

acorns know that in
100 years they will be as
tall as their mothers?

“Everything Waits”

this is a poem i wrote tonight for everyone who thinks they can’t get through this because you can. everything waits.
